Warehouse Floor Painting in Abingdon and Wimbledon
Warehouse floor painting needs more than a fresh coat of colour. The floor has to be prepared properly, primed correctly and finished with a coating that can cope with daily use, movement and wear.
PDQ Contract Flooring recently completed two warehouse floor coating projects in Abingdon and Wimbledon, covering 1,200m² in total. Both spaces needed a clean, practical and hard-wearing finish, so we supplied and applied Arturo EP6700 DPM/Primer followed by Arturo EP3900 High Build resin paint.
The two projects had different subfloor conditions, which meant each site needed a slightly different approach before the resin paint could be applied.
1,000m² warehouse floor coating in Abingdon
At the Abingdon warehouse, the existing floor needed to be prepared before any new coating could be applied.
Our team surface ground the warehouse floor to remove contaminants and old floor finishes, creating a sound base for the new system. This preparation stage is an important part of the process, as the final finish depends on what sits beneath it.
Once the floor was prepared, we applied Arturo EP6700 DPM/Primer. We then finished the floor with Arturo EP3900 High Build resin paint, giving the warehouse a clean, durable surface suitable for commercial use.
200m² warehouse floor coating in Wimbledon
The Wimbledon project involved a new anhydrite screed, which had already been cut back by other contractors.
Once the subfloor was ready for us, we applied Arturo EP6700 DPM/Primer before finishing the space with Arturo EP3900 High Build resin paint.
The Wimbledon warehouse was completed in a different colour finish to the Abingdon project, showing how resin floor paint can be used to create a practical, tidy finish while still allowing for different site requirements.
Why preparation matters with resin floor paint
With commercial floor painting, preparation makes a big difference to the finished result. Old coatings, surface contamination, moisture and screed type can all affect how the new flooring system performs.
That is why both projects began with the right base preparation and primer system before the high-build resin paint was applied.
Arturo EP6700 DPM/Primer was used to prepare and protect the substrate, while Arturo EP3900 High Build resin paint provided the final coloured finish. The result across both spaces was a smart, practical and easy-to-maintain warehouse floor finish.
