Stylish Office Flooring Fit-Out at the Davidson Building, Covent Garden
Earlier this year, PDQ Contract Flooring was awarded a high-spec flooring project by West 1, specialists in office fit-outs and refurbishments. The Davidson Building in Covent Garden - an elegant Edwardian-style commercial building reimagined for modern workspaces. Known for its light-filled atrium and contemporary finishes. The project involved a carefully considered mix of engineered timber, carpet tiles, and design-led finishes.
Flooring That Elevates the Workspace
We supplied and installed 170m² of Ted Todd Furrow engineered timber across the main office space—chosen for its clean, natural grain and long-lasting performance. This was paired with 375m² of Tarkett Desso Retrace carpet tiles, which offer excellent durability and acoustic comfort, making them ideal for open-plan work environments.
To ensure a seamless transition between finishes, we installed 6mm and 18mm ply to the raised access floor, eliminating any height difference between timber and carpeted areas.
Boardroom Flooring Design and Functional Detailing
In the boardroom, we fitted 35m² of Interface CE100 and CE200 design tiles, adding a bold, graphic finish that brings energy and personality to the meeting space. We also installed accessible service panels within the timber flooring. These were crafted with flush ring pulls to maintain a clean, cohesive look while allowing easy access to the air conditioning units below.
