This newly built office, gym, and garage complex needed a flooring solution that was both rustic and refined, with a seamless finish from floor to skirting.
A Smooth Start: Subfloor Preparation
As with any quality flooring install, the groundwork is crucial. We started by applying F77 Damp Proof Membrane to the new screed to ensure a moisture-resistant base. We then used Stopgap 1200 5mm latex screed to level out the subfloors and create a smooth, even surface ready for the final finish.
Elesco Rustic Oak, Tailored to the Space
For the flooring itself, the client selected pre-sealed rustic engineered Oak flooring from Elesco — a great choice for bringing warmth and character to a modern space. The natural variation in tone adds charm, while the pre-sealed finish offers durability for everyday use.
To complete the look, the customer requested matching timber skirting. We sourced unsealed solid oak skirting, applied a custom stain and hard wax oil to match the Elesco floor, and installed it pre-sealed for a consistent, high-quality finish throughout.
