Vinyl Safety flooring, Carpet tiles and LVT for ‘STERIS’ in Reading

PDQ recently completed an extensive flooring project for Steris at one of their premisses in Reading , Berkshire in the South East of England. Steris who for a 100 years been a global leader and expert in the industries of sterilisation, cleaning and infection control operate in more than 100 countries across the world. PDQ were awarded the project by WHP Engineers who design, optimise, and maintain workplace processes and equipment to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality production.

Firstly the screeded sub floor had to be mechanically ground back to achieve a subfloor we could then properly bond to. Once completed we then got a used Ardex Feather finish to get a perfect finish. All these stages were essential for a flawless final result

Then on to installing the flooring- A large proportion of the main area was 1200m2 of Altro Walkway which is a durable and adaptable safety flooring designed for use in various settings. A flooring which is perfect for areas that have to be kept to high clean standards. This was adhered to the sub floor using Uzin 2000S which is a universal wet and pressure sensitive adhesive.

We also installed 100m2 of Interface Composure carpet tiles to the offices and 135 m2 of Interface LVT Rustic Ash to social areas. The choice of flooring is important to getting the right look and feel to a room, whilst taking into consideration what the room is being used for is key.

PDQ provide and install many kinds of flooring for all different types of situations and environments. We work in places such as schools, hospitals, museums offices and factories to name but a few. We are trusted by many businesses and organisations across the UK, of which some of them have been loyal customers for many years.
